Roald Dahls Willy Wona
This was my last show at MNSU. The scale of this show proved to be huge undertaking, and was often overwhelming, but we kept pushing through the last shop-shift before opening to make sure we got everything done!
The Birds
My first mainstage show at MNSU as the Technical Director!
This show was full of rewarding challenges, from the organically raked stage with layered planking, to the off-kilter windows, and the moving nest units that were rigged above the stage!
Rodgers and Hammerstien’s Cinderella
For this production at MNSU, because our faculty Scene Designer was on sabbatical, we ended up renting the set. So as the Assistant Technical Director, my primary task was translating the provided drafting from the rental company to our stage.
Heroes of the Fourth Turning
For this production, I was still very new to drafting, and was trying to get more comfortable with modeling in Vectorworks and taking advantage of viewports.
We also were under a much tighter time-line than usual, because I joined their team on the third week of production meetings, only 1 month before opening, with spring break and USITT in the middle.
Constellations
My first Technical Direction project!
This production was foundational for me learning how to communicate with a shop, with no prior shop-drawing drafting experience.
